[CHICKENS-101] Re: snails, worms, and parasites Feeding Pumpkin

Pumpkin helped tremendously when a stray bug hit our pride of cats. Probably introduced by a rescued stray, but it affected about half our felines and antibiotics were ineffective. In fact, they usually caused even more distress. Mash and mix pumpkin with their regular food until the pestilence ran it's course along with a probiotic like fortaflora to repopulate the gut after antibiotics. It was by no means a fast cure, but it lessened the pain for us and the cats. I have not used it specifically for any chicken ailments, but I feed my layers all the waste and excess from the garden and they love pumpkin and squash when they get it.
