[CHICKENS-101] Pecking Problem

What, if anything, can be done about a hen (a Welsummer) who for the last couple of weeks has pecked another hen (a Barred Plymouth Rock) incessantly and, for the first time today, actually tore skin and drew blood? Will any length of isolation help and if the bird must be euthanized, is there any humane way of doing so. All of my six hens are pets. BTW, I treated the wounded bird with hydrogen peroxide and planned to isolate her as well. However, she soon began to peck at her own wound so, with the exception of the Welsummer, I returned her to the others (whose company she missed) but wonder if she's beyond all hope. Thanks!
