Chickens can, it's a fact of scientific research. It's in my vet textbooks for chickens, and they can build immunity to round worms and their bodies keep the worm load down. Vitamin A helps too.

Also, you cannot build an immunity to worms any more than you can build an immunity to getting pregnant. A healthy body will be better be able to fight off ill effects, but worms do not cause the body or immune system to mount any defense, as bacteria and viruses do. If an animal is exposed to larva in the soil, they will become infected again, regardless of their previous exposure.
