Thanks Pete and Cath; We only had a few small branches broken and some leaves. We were without power for most of the day so the worst thing was not knowing what was happening. We were prepared for a much larger event. Our winter storms can leave us housebound for up to 3 days so we are used to this sort of thing. You just get out the "List" and make sure you have everything. Wind gusts probably reached 50-60 mph and the rain was mostly light although steady. The northern part of the state suffered some real damage and Vermont was devastated. The terrain is almost as level as West(by God)Va. There are communities up there that are completely isolated. I expect they will have to air-lift in food and supplies for awhile. There is very little news coming out of that area and what little there is is bad.
