Y'all that have local elevators that mix their own (or allows you to create your own) feed are extremely fortunate.  We don't have any near us and have to go 30+ miles one way to a TSC.  Oh how we wish we had an elevator near us!!!

The importance of quality feed cannot be overstated.  We are fortunate to have a local feed mill that has been in operation for 80 years.  My son won't use any other feed.  Their prices are competitive and he feels the hens look and act more healthy and lay better.  They have developed this layer mix over the course of many decades and you know it is always fresh.
