Janet, After finding out that the feed at the factory that is not in a large demand, (like turkey 28%) is stored on the 2nd floor of a hot warehouse, I went up north and had feed made. My chickens are relieved to have their favorite feed back. The turkeys will get stuck eating the game bird starter 28%, broiler starter 23%, and part of the 20% game bird conditioner.

The importance of quality feed cannot be overstated. We are fortunate to have a local feed mill that has been in operation for 80 years. My son won't use any other feed. Their prices are competitive and he feels the hens look and act more healthy and lay better. They have developed this layer mix over the course of many decades and you know it is always fresh.
