[CHICKENS-101] Re: HOw many chickens in a 10x10 coop??

Extensive Research at TimeWarrior Farm Rare Breed Conservation Reserve indicates best all around compromise is 4 sq. ft. (0.37 sq.m.) /bird = 25 birds in 100 sq. ft. (9.29 sq.m.) provided they have free access to range and the coop house is used for roosting, laying, keeping feed dry and water easily available.

Perches should provide a minimum of 6 lineal inches (15 cm)/bird and provision should be made for different sub-flocks to have separate perches with vertical and horizontal separation of at least 6 inches (15 cm)
