I only collect them once in a while now.  When we set the storm damaged screen house back up I found 24 eggs laid in a fold of the canvas.  I only collect them when there are no more in the kitchen.  The skunkie darlings get an egg each every other day.

I suppose I could try locking a chicken in with eggs and a nice nest or something.  Ideas are appreciated.  Keep 'em commin'.

Hi Georgia. I think your problem may be that you collect the eggs.
If you leave them for a week or longer, up to two weeks. I think one of your silkies will take possession of the clutch. Then you will not be able to remove her without a fight.
