They have a bad track record of recalls. The last one was just a month or so ago and was for metal shavings in Layena. All sorts of non edibles have turned up in their feed. What we feed is up to each person but I no longer buy Purina even though my drive distance to get other feed is double the distance to Tractor Supply, the local Purina dealer.

There is a feed called Flock Raiser that is supposed to be good for all of them. I like it as it has a higher protein level and is supposed to be good for layers too. :love: Angelique
