She's not getting foolish George - she's just listening to that part of her heart that is not complete w/o a horse.
(I recently did the same thing. Too many years w/o a horse! I knew I missed them but didn't realize how much until the little mini I had promised myself SOMEDAY arrived. My heart is singing again!)
Wishing your wife as much happiness as having a horse in my life again has given me,
Jean & Lio (the Magnificent Mini)

Good Afternoon. It is afternoon here in New Hampshire and the day is beautiful. It has been a while since I joined the conversations with the group. Allow me to re-introduce myself. I am Old George, I was a poultry advisor to Cap't Noah when he set out in advance of the flood. We had the toughest chickens in the world, RIRs, or at least their ancestors. I mean 40 days with hungry lions and tigers! Chickens had to be tough.
I notice that Dear Cathryn is still helping all the newbies and anybody else that need advise. Special Needs Teachers are like that and boy does this group sometimes qualify. She does get a bit pushy at times but she does know her stuff. ((Hi Cath)). I see there is some bad mojo going on, usually caused by misunderstanding and/or miss-education. It's sometimes difficult to get your ideas across in the same way they exist in your mind.
At the moment I have 9 chickens in residence; 3 EEs, 4 BR, 1 cross and an EE Rooster. The 8 hens have had a slow winter averaging 2 eggs a day. They are doing better now that I posted the phone of a local butcher on the bulletin board.
Next week I hope to start a batch of bantam OEGs, love the little guys. Once they get a little meat on their bones I may start a half dozen pullets. Golden Comets or some such. All depends on how fast we finish up rehabbing the horse stalls and paddocks. After being without any horses for a number of years they are returning. Somebody is getting foolish in her old age.
In my picture albums (2) by Old George all those birds have passed over the rainbow bridge except for the BR and her baby I posted last fall. BTW my crock pot is called "rainbow bridge". Just a coincidence of course
