Good Morning,
Thanks for all the suggestions with our declining egg production. The
chickens are completely protection from any predators as my husband covered
their whole run with chicken wire. The only thing I've seen in the coop
that doesn't belong is a mouse which likes to come out and talk to myself
and our daughter when she comes over. They are eating great and have two
large water containers that they can't turn over.
I may have stumbled on part of the problem this morning. Noticed that
everyone vacated the coop into the run in a hurry this morning including the
rooster. One of the Rhode Island Red hens has gotten very aggressive. I
wonder if she is running everyone out of the nesting boxes. Will have to
keep our eyes on her.
When Kevin cleaned, he completely cleaned the floor so yes, he did remove
their favorite spots on the floor.
