Bea, Today I was holding my 3 wee serama chicks and realized that cuckoo colored chick is a silkied serama. I went and looked at the 2.5 month old it is a silkied serama too. I am going to bring the breeding pair that I hatched from back up so I set each egg as they are laid. You are right about any the little thing messing up a hatch. We had an hour power outage, and out of 4 rows of eggs 4 hatched, all lived to 3 weeks, then one died. Di wants silkied and so does another friend of mine. The pullet is 8mo and weighs 14oz full of eggs, and the cockerel weights 14.06oz. They make a perfect pair. Jerry S sent me the cockerel and the pullet is out of one of the two picture perfect roosters and one of my hens from him earlier. I am thrilled with my chicks!
