Because you are diluting the layer crumbles with grains, and she isn't getting the extra nutrition OR your feed has a high mycotoxin count in the grain OR the feed is outdated and or old. Nothing like playing detective with feed and chickens. If you feed an 18% or 20% crumble there is a lower chance of having problems with grains being added. I feed wheat and oats too.

ok thank you Cathryn, I will do this asap! And will give all the other chickens the poultry vitamins.
I feed layer crumbles, oats & wheat and they free range in the back yard all afternoon. Don't understand why she would have a vitamin deficiency!
