I have one a little older and he jumped at me and pecked me on the leg. I chased him around the pen with a stick and got him cornered. Whapped him a couple of times. He gives me a wide berth now. But he doesn't like my SO and he has gone after her twice. I think, in her, case, because she is basically a stranger in the pen. He acted like he wanted to peck me one other time and I back handed him across the head. He still flares his wings, but he doesn't get close to me.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Information needed on Rooster
Hello everyone, I have not posted mostly a lurker here, but I need some information. I have a Buff Orpington Rooster just about a year old that has started to attack me when I go in to feed them. The ladies like to be petted and I do that but He gots very angry when I go in the coop. Is this a normal behavior or is there something I can do?
