Judy knitted me a bright red and black "watch" cap (she calls them 'toboggans') the other day.� I wore it out to the pen and the chickens scattered like a hawk was after them.� I went into the Silkie pen and they all ran as fast as they could as far away as they could get, squawking all the time.� I took the cap off and stuffed it in my pocket and they all settled down.
Not sure if it was the red or the fact that I had something on my head that was different.� I wear my straw hat and it doesn't seem to bother them.
And my little pet pullet won't let me near her if I am wearing a Jersey glove on my hand.� As soon as I take it off, she comes over for her daily scratch and lovin'.

They also dont like red or orange. colors make them mean, I read it and I stopped to see what I have on. I like the comment to ignore. works well too. I cant eat my pets!
