We ALWAYS use braggs, both for our hens and ourselves. Every water change! I don't know about disinfecting, but the goodness of the "mother" in the Braggs gets us all started in the am!

I put natural Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar in my water bowls. About 1 Tsb. per gallon. I actually don't messure, just pour a little in when I add water. Susan
