Mum said 'corn' was the same as we say 'grain' . She was in the Womens Land Army, and found it to be good training to be a wife in northern michigan, where our life was a challenge to her.

In the UK, cookies are a thicker textured softish biscuit whilst ordinary biscuits are more crispy, scones are a hardish sponge cake, small circular that would fit in the palm of your hand, you can have them with or without currants or sultanas, ( I don't like sultanas or currants) you generally slice them in half & have cream & jam in the centre or butter. In the UK you can get cheese scones.
What is corn????????? The yellow stuff that grows on Cobs??????????????? you boil it in water & put lashings of butter on it, Tastes delish!
Or the discusting ( in my opinion, not in the opinion of my chooks) dry corn I feed to my chickens as their eve boost before going to bed, I think it could be what you guys call scratch?????????? but am not certain on that. LOl. Jane & co
