I have never had mine that way... We need to get out of our rut here. We have over easy for b-fast or scrambled if I break a yoke. Hubby likes poached but I never do that sometimes he gets a hard fried egg when I am juggling too many things when his egg goes in the pan. Omlets are for restaurants.. I just might like a three minute egg is that what those egg timers are for?

OK This is weird. What on earth is going on about UK Jane knowing about the best way to cut top off a boiled egg ? :) LOL. What did I miss? I can't seem to find where that part of the topic came from. Do you Americans not eat boiled eggs for breaky??????????????? With your bread cut up into strips (little soldiers) to dip into the soft yolk?We like them here in the uk & the best way to take the top off is firm tap near the top & on the side with a sharpish knife. Then grip the knife & cut into the shell holding the opposite side of the egg with the other hand. Should come off pretty clean. :) JAne & co
