Cathryn, I am straight South of you - almost.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

Sheli, It's too bad you are too far. I have 3 extra pullets I do not need. One each of white, gray, and partridge; 5months old, have already went broody, hatched and raised chicks. The more silkies you have the more chicks you can raise. LOL!
Dave's naked neck silkies are pen hopping! One loves his white rooster who is in my old grays and have a light now for heat at night. She pen hops and goes back to him as soon as I leave the barn. I saw another in the partridge pen and yet another hiding in the red bearded silkie pen. Oh well, they are clean necked so I am not going to fight them over which pen they want to be in.
