Hi Rhonda, yes hay on wye is around that area.
I forgot to mention that me & my dh reckon we saw one about 9 1/2 years ago. We were driving to Flisteridge ( about 2 miles from where we live) a country road through a large wooded area. We saw it sat with it's back to us, it turned to look in our direction as it heard us aproaching then it tuirned & slinked away into the woods. It def was not a black lab dog. What I don't get though is that none of these top nature programme people seem to be able to get any film of them.
There are reports of black panthers being spotted in several areas throughout the uk. My dh reckons that in the rich large estate owners used to have these sort of animals as luxury pets & when a new tax was introduced in the uk on the exotic animals they just turned them loose. Jane & co
