I did exactly the same thing for the same exact reason when I wormed mine the first time.

agreed. I held off for a long time with worming my chickens because I always read "it's so hard on the chickens". I really don't know where that is coming from. I have since read up a lot on worming for  birds and nowhere have I read it's a problem in birds, only on some chicken sites.
