Based on experience I would say 10 to 15 chickens max. per a 10x10 pen.

Depends on which set of standards you use.
One std calls for 2.5 ft/sq/bird That would be 40 birds
Another calls for 3ft/sq/bird. That would be 33 birds
The last std calls for 4 ft/sq/bird. That would be 25 birds
