[CHICKENS-101] Re: Injured pullet

Anything is possible. She was in an antique steel cage raised off the ground by 18 inches. She was in with a roo. There is a wire mesh floor and about 6 inches of hay covering the floor. Nothing non human can get into that cage, but if her toes were peeking through the mesh, something could munch them. There are feral cats and foxes in the vicinity. The cage was a temporary measure until she could be moved. She will not be going back to that cage.

So, once she's healed what are the chances that she can integrate in with other hens? She will always have a disability.

Her wounds are healing nicely and she's bright, alert eating well etc. She can walk but with a severe limp and can't go very fast at all.
