Oh, my, Denise, our dog Petals LOVES corn cobs. I figure they make pretty good 'inner reamers', just in case she need any inner reaming. If she gets in the chicken yard she looks to see if there are any old ones the chickens have abandoned.
I made Chili earlier this week with 3 kinds of pulses but Mr. Percy and I haven't shared any with the critters yet. It is soooooooooo good they'll be lucky to get even a smidge.

wow, that info was pretty enlightening..mine like all sorts too - Georgia - mine eat corncob, beans, pulses, whatever th hens get scrap-wise, (which is vetted, obviously) but they get wet food largely, and pieces of fish/meat from us. No cows milk tho...yogurt, cheese but not the milk. they puked on my bed,(EW) so that's a no-no.
The ingredients on the chickenfeed was pretty enlightening too...big letters says MUST NOT BE FED TO NON POULTRY SPECIES...I changed brands.
