You are such a good source of knowledge. Hopefully if the pullets I bought survive (and they are doing well as of this morning) I should have enough hens (and eggs) for awhile. I printed out your post and put it in my chicken folder for future reference should I need to restock my flock in the future. Blue eggs eh? I hope the ones I bought give me some pretty green ones (the previous americana's I had gave me some pretty light green ones)

Chicken rearing is such a fun adventure. I think I'm becoming addicted.

Just to double check, the chicks can survive on their own without the hen to warm them when they have mostly feathered out right?
