Well, today marks the 3 week mark, and so far, ALL my babies are doing extremely well!! 4 Buff Orps, 4 black Jersey Giants, 4 Light Brahmas, and 2 each of Silver Laced and Gold Laced Wyandottes. They are feathering nicely, very active, and eat like there's no tomorrow.
I was thinking about taking them out of the brooder for a couple of hours (give it a good scrubdown) and letting them "play" in a pen in the yard during the day tomorrow. The temp is supposed to be around 84-85 during peak hours. Do you think this will be in any way detrimental? Yes, they would be supervised..
Also, if I do this, I'll have waterers in there with them, but should I put feed in there, too? Also, what's the right age to move them into their main coop? We have no other chickens, so they'll have it all to themselves, and we're almost done with the renovations (they'll be living better than we do..hahaha).
