Heather,
Welcome, fellow newbie! My first chicks are about 3 1/2 weeks old, and I took them outside for the first time yesterday (I live in Florida, and the weather was in the low 80's/high 70's). They were only out for a few hours, safely enclosed in their "big girl coop," and seemed to do fine. They threw themselves on the ground, wings outstretched, beaks open. Then they'd hop back on me, and cling, and then get a bit braver, repeat the "throw down," and so on... I don't have the heart to move them out full time yet, but maybe in the next week or so... and as I hear them in the other room begging to be held, I feel like the world's meanest "mommy."

Not sure if that was the best place to buy them... but we did, so hopefully they will be healthy and lay well. My question right now is this...

I think they are about 3-4 weeks old and the temperature is suppose to be around the mid to high 70's tomorrow. I really wasn't sure if that was to cool for them at this age. We are in the learning stages right now and are reading as much as we can but I will appreciate any advice given here.
