I do think some breeds are less hardy than others, but don't think Turkens (NN) are among the weaker ones. Just personal experience, but they seem to out survive most of the other breeds I have. They handle both heat and cold well, are great foragers, and the friendliest birds I have. I guess I should admit that they are my favorites <G> Margo Pelzer, SC
