By the time Guineas are 6 months old or older, the females start issuing a very distinctive duo-syllable "Poo-tock" sound that male Guineas cannot make.

Hi Debbie,
For the FIRST time since we have added the five Guineas last
year, I saw one jump on another and do the nasty! Until now, I didn't know
what we had...four girls and a boy?? Three girls and two boys??? Two girls
and three boys??? You get the idea. Well, we have at least ONE MALE.
