[CHICKENS-101] Old rooster, new hens

 

I have an old rooster who has outlived his hens. He has one left and she is looking pretty run down. I am thinking of getting some new hens for him but I have a couple of questions. 1) how old do the new hens have to be before I can put them in with him? 2) I don't suppsose I coud get bantam hens with a standard rooster? 3) if I don't get his new hens right away and his last one dies will he get mean without hens to look after?
