[CHICKENS-101] New to chickens

 

Hi,

My family and I are VERY new chicken owners! We are very excited and I look forward to learning lots from this group. We bought 6 little pullets from Tractor Supply a few days ago. Not sure if that was the best place to buy them... but we did, so hopefully they will be healthy and lay well. My question right now is this...

We have our chicks in a box with a lamp for warmth, but I was wondering if it would be ok to take them outside for a little while and let them explore. I think they are about 3-4 weeks old and the temperature is suppose to be around the mid to high 70's tomorrow. I really wasn't sure if that was to cool for them at this age. We are in the learning stages right now and are reading as much as we can but I will appreciate any advice given here.
