Anyway I switched where I get food from. I was buying from a local elevator. I usually start changing feed this time of year though. Their feed starts being buggy, then clumpy, and if you're stupid enough to keep buying it becomes moldy and kills your animals. They were the only place that sold non purina feed around here so I would buy at certain "safer" times of the year only from them.
My dad told me recently of a MFA dealer in the area that he met at our church. Score! They have very popular goat feed so I'm trying out their chicken and gamebird feeds as well.
I'm not wild about some of the contents in their gamebird feed. If I have to I'll deal with it. Is gamebird feed the only way to feed ducks and geese? Is there no such thing as waterfowl feed? Is scratch a possibility if you mix in something else and what would that be?
Sorry to be a pain and ask so many weird questions but this last week has me questioning a lot of things in how and what we feed our birds especially the waterfowl.
Thank you
Marla
