Re: [CHICKENS-101] Tiny chick

My old english bantams are half to 3/4 the size of my d'uccles and they are all 3 1/2 months old now. The old english are VERY tiny. I have 3 week old buff orpingtons that are barely smaller then my old english pullets. My OEGB's are so sweet. They like to hang out with me and fly up on me for a ride and visit.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Tiny chick

Tiny chick is mostly feathered now. Her dibbling is slightly bigger than her. She is still smaller than a new born aneraucana (ours are bigger birds though) the other is about the same size as a new born.

New development. As their tails came in. They got STRAIGHT UP!!??

I am not a bantam expert! But the have clean legs, one if buff, one has some kind of barring on buff. With tails that go straight up. What are we?? Lol!

We weeded our garden last night and my son brought these two out side for the first time. Everyone else their age has been out side for a couple weeks now. But they are so small, I keep them inside. They had so much fun! Chasing bugs, eating veggies, they sat under the lettuce plants lol!

But they spent most of their time right under my feet. I was so scared about stepping on one. The tiniest liked to perch on my foot if I would just hold still long enough.

Any ideas?? Who's buff with a tail straight up? Lot smaller than my bantam D uccles.
