That Gulf Oil Mess is going to severely impact world protein levels.The rains and nasty weather will hurt crops, and drive the price of grains to interesting levels..I don't know what birds to buy for my yard in Central Ohio, and I don't have land for corn..I assume that Chooks eat sunflower seeds when they can get them..How about sprouting them for vitamins, etc in the Winter.I have a community plot and between a fence row, and the back side of it, turn weed areas into about a hundred ,or more plants.Based on anticipated scarcity,I may start buying Winter feed for birds that don't exist yet/// Cordially Nad
