I used Nankin hens last year - very devoted Moms. Also, mine doubled up on eggs so two hens could cover the larger clutch. This year they are raising standard chicks as a team. The funny thing this go-around is that one is a Brahma chick—it will be as big as the Mama Nankin hen in a week or so, it's still fledging. Seramas, Silkies, Bantam Cochin all would work.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Best Bantam Chicken for quail brooding
Group,
I am looking to add a Bantam chicken to help sit and brood my quail eggs. Has anyone had luck with a particular breed.
I appreciate any information.
Thank you
