[CHICKENS-101] Re: nearly spring

Ha!  You startled me, Jennie! When I saw "almost spring", I was thinking...W-H-A-T??  Then I saw Australia.  We've had a very weird summer here, and yesterday, we traveled out of town to an area several hours north of us and I saw some trees looking like they were turning FALL colors already! "Fall" doesn't really happen here in California until October or November! And on the chicken scene, another one of our Modern Game hens hatched out 9 little chicks!  She should never have been allowed to do this...I have 2 poor hens in my village that are broody and I had to just take all their eggs.  No more chickies for me for a while!  But these are my daughters chickens, so she is going to have to deal with them. Sigh! These little Moderns are just crazy baby makers.
