Rita, I went to my parents with two baskets full of fresh eggs and told my mom I want her old eggs. She has eggs that 2 weeks old. I am going to boil them! My parents have an old refrigerator that works like new that you have to defrost. She keeps it at 40 and their eggs stay like fresh for months. I always put the best, largest eggs on top, for my parents to share with friends who help them.

Because fresh eggs are so hard to peel, - when I want hard boiled eggs I use these gismos that I found from Wal Mart in the "As seen on TV" section. You put your raw egg in them and then boil - for me they have worked great - a bit more messy but they do work
