Today my chickens had their first full day outside. I had the pit bull mutt out with them much of the day. They are using their tractor pen as their home base. I've got that set up very close to the parrot aviaries, so the chickens have been poking around near the parrots. If a hawk were to attack, I would hear a lot of ruckus from the macaws, that is for sure. So far, all is well and I have a bunch of very happy chickens. At the moment, they are all taking an afternoon siesta, some inside the tractor pen where they have food and some outside right beside the tractor.
