Lori, You have a good chance of having cute mixed breed chicks hatch out from all of your hens. Your silkie rooster with time would mate with all but the most dominant hen.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Hen on eggs
I have a small variety of hens and one silkie rooster. He's very docile. The Polish hen is sitting on eggs and has been for a number of days straight. The hens are one silkie, the Polish, one barred rock, and several red sex links. I have only seen the roo mate with the silkie hen, but I haven't really been watching for this.
My question is what are the chances of this hen sitting on eggs that are fertile? Do docile roosters (he was henpecked at first) mate with all the hens?
