Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Hello again:

ha ha h yep, we work on a ranch so have Qh's for ranch work, along with our riding horses, add to that I've been raising mini's for about 13 or so years, and I bought the boys a coming 2 yr old Shetland filly this December, for my 6 yr old and I to start and having going by the time the 1 yr old is old enough to ride well. So we have several different sizes of horses here. Add to that the chickens, guineas, one barn cat, a pet rabbit, Jack Russell Terriers and a mess working dogs, and that's our zoo at the moment. LOL (not counting the cattle, lol)

...."A horse of SOME size"? hee!  How about 17 hands?  I just put a picture of my 'horse-sister', Cinderella, AKA  "Cinders" in Alex's photo album (Alex, the man about town)  Cinders is an ex PMU Percheron mare we rescued from Canada several years ago. She's now 7 years old and her mane is 5' 8" long!!!  She's as sweet as she is gorgeous...doesn't even try to chase the chickens if they are scratching around under her giant feet. Yes, definitely, life is NOT complete without SOME sort of a horse. Truthfully, as we get older, we most likely will not replace these draft horses with other drafts. We'll probably head for a mini or two!
