I have support beams for the fencing built across the pens in a net work of grids with cedar posts every so often to support the frame. The netting stretches. If I have birds that winter in a poultry netting pen I put sawhorses and sheets of plywood in the pen by the housing to keep snow off that area. I also have 4' x 8' x 2' with a roof that were moving crates, in the pens, that also provide snow free play/extra room areas for the birds. The guineas wintered there last winter. No guineas this year, the pen will remain empty.

I am doing a covered area of about 50 by 100 for all my poultry. The
net is pretty reasonable. Though If you have snow it might be
problematic. I have seen them when stretched pretty well handle a good
snow load.
