[CHICKENS-101] Re: different breeds, now shamo

I have 70 chicks with their dams,24 half grown chicks I raised, 14 cocks and 47 hens. Those are black and white wyandottes, Shamo, black australorps, black, white and blue ameraucanas, 6 of the black cross-bred meat birds I working on, and two white rocks for that same program. 20 ducks( runner in black, white and blue and campbells) and 7 brown chinese geese. The two little dogs are both rescues. One came with five pups and one came with four. Pups all got good homes and moms are spayed now. They try to work and pay their way like the two big bitches but this isn't much they can do. The shamo are fighters. Even the hens will suddenly declare war on each other. And when they have chicks they are even worse. NOT people fighters though. Yep, they do have legs, all the way up to their butts!!. It is funny to watch a group of half-growns running around tha yard. Sort of like teen-age boys. As far as "regular" chickens go, my favorite is the black australop. Carolyn
