Re: [CHICKENS-101] Digest Number 13712

Thanks.  Must be a new name for hypo or hyper thyroidism (which to me are a little easier to understand).
My normal body temp is 96.7.  When I was a kid 50 yrs ago, I tested as having an extremely negative thyroid....the doctors did prescribe something to fix it - I lost 135 lbs over the course of the next two years and have maintained ever since.  What they prescribed were amphetamines (sp?).  My body temp is still 96.7, but I am a slim trim 128 lbs even now at the age of nearly 60 (b-day next month), not ever having taken another thing for it since then.
That's why I was wondering what you were talking about......
                              Thanks again, Stuart!

Normally "low" body temperature is a major indicator for WTS.
Certain hormonal actions occur optimally at 98.6 degrees.  Anything
lower and some reactions just don't occur.  The treatment is simple, but
requires a doctor to prescribe it, and there aren't many who
acknowledge the existence of WTS, or who will practice the treatment.
The treatment is very particular as it involves the use of active
thyroid hormone and missing a dose time or getting a wrong amount can
have serious effects, so full attention must be paid. Active thyroid
hormone is only available from a formulating pharmacy.
