Hi Ronna,
I don't often reply in this forum but I do read it and came across your question. I have Silkies and they hold their own just fine with my standard chickens! They are little in size but big in attitude, as the saying goes. She probably will never be the top girl in your flock, but mine have never been on the bottom either. Make very sure that you keep their eye feathers trimmed though so they can see if another girl is sneaking up on them. I have never noticed any problems though keeping bantams in the same pens as my bigger girls, including my Jersey Giant. Best of luck!
