I also keep my Silkies in their own pens like Cathryn. One angry hen pecking them on the head can kill them. Especially if they have a vaulted skull with their brain exposed.

They only get to free range with my daughter supervising. Their vision is so limited by their crests that they would be picked off by our native hawks.

No ducks unless it is a call duck. A regular sized duck would flatten a silkie by accident.
