Jane, I'd suggest a little serama, but my teeny guy named "Mouth" has a crow as big as a big rooster. Many of my silkies are quieter and meeker. The boys are very much busy with making nests, sitting on nests with the girls and taking care of chicks. Cath
Pete, Just incase you think I am against the sound of a crowing rooster let me assure you I am not. In actual fact I am the complete opposite. I love to hear the sound of a crowing rooster.I think that although I am a 'towny' I am actually a 'country bumpkin at heart'.

Sadly my neighbors are in very close proximity of our garden. Here in the uk. we do not have that much land & our 80 foot garden backs onto 7 other gardens! Also there are about 100 houses in this little culdesack where I could gauruntee that I would definately get serious complaints from neghbors. But I would absolutely love a rooster.(I'm sure my girls would too) Jane & Co
