Carol, A little bit of instant oatmeal makes a nice treat. Not cooked, no sugar or flavoring. They are old enough to have a tiny bit of chick grit sprinkled over their food once a week too. If your chicks are bigger they can have regular oatmeal, (dry uncooked). A little bit of shelled, chopped fine sunflower is a good treat twice a week. Red Cell is a vitamin supplement. Cath
Hi Carole G: I would say at least 6 weeks and then only if they are outside where they can get gravel or sand for grit. If you want to give them treats pick something soft or something that will soften like crackers.
