Georgia, When they tear off the paper you have no idea if your feed is fresh or not.  Our TSC and the one in Clio often has had old feed in stock.  I still do not understand why the MI stores do not carry feed made in MI.  It's not right to carry feed made elsewhere.  I hope it costs them enough business that the old farm grain elevators can recoup enough business to stay strong. That's what he tore off, Cath, to hand to the cashier so she could ring it up!   The sewn on label has a bar code.   They have a book with all the bar codes so all she needed was to know which feed it was, he didn't need to tear it off!  I may go in with the data, the bag and my receipt and ask for my money back.  I could just kick myself for buying it in the first place!
