we took wooden blocks and put a hole and strung them up by rope and hung them for the chicks. we also use parrot toys and i take millet and seed with a little bit of honey for them and make treats in the shapes of balls and let them play and eat those. its just like the bird seed treats you buy for parrots and other caged birds. my chickens always like pain cherrios. my kids drop them on the floor and i throw them out side to them or let the ones inside eat them off the floor.
