I grew mixed lettuces this spring, and every time I thinned them, or pick some for myself, my chickens get some. Since they don't free-range, they LOVE it! The arugula grew like crazy, and was a little too spicy and bitter for me to eat in large quantities, and the girls were very happy to help me out. The Romaine didn't grow well. :-( But now I have Swiss chard coming out my ears, hope the chickens like that too! :-)

Pete, I wonder how many bags of Dole Caesar salad and Italian lettuce I can eat before it affects my INR? My INR ran between 3.8-3.5 and 4. on Friday. It's supposed to be between 2-2.9. Talk about tasting good, yum. On my 3rd bag of salad between yesterday and today. I am having to use will power to not go after the bag of romaine.
